The major direction has always been excellent quality “look of real” costume jewelry at affordable prices.

How long have you been with the company?

Lindy 25 years and Mickey 45 years

Glamour RingsWhat is a typical day like for you?

There really is no typical day as our business is driven by our buyers. A favorite type of day would be one where everything went smoothly without any problems and one in which a new retailer realized our potential to be a money maker for them.

What is your favorite part of this industry?
Developing new product.

What have been some of the biggest challenges in the market lately?

Trying to meet the ever increasing demand for lower prices and increased markups when we refuse to sacrifice quality. We are in the process of shifting to different types of retailers because of the demands on price versus quality. We are not willing to sacrifice our quality and have always been the lowest price for the product we offer.  The only way we could further reduce price would be to reduce the quality and we do not want to do that.

What are the newest and exciting changes in the marketplace lately?

The emergence of designer based trend in smaller stores and the growth of online shopping demand from consumers has led us to develop a new line of higher priced trend merchandise.

Glamour RingsHow do you use social media and how has it helped your brand? Contests, etc.

We use social media to help us show our consumers the different facets of our company.  We are always excited to share our latest projects to our followers and social media is an effective tool that helps us market our brand to everyone.  We run contests on Facebook and Instagram to engage our customers to interact with us.  It is also a great way to give thanks to our customers for their continued support for all these years.

Does your company have any important milestones coming up? Explain

We just passed our 58th year Anniversary on April 11 this year, and moved into a new corporate headquarters building in January.

Are you launching anything new for Fall/Holiday 2014?

We are launching a new line of trend rings called Mic & Madi which we are very excited about.  Having always been known for relatively inexpensive “look of real”, this is a real departure for us.

Glamour RingsIn terms of styling, what are you focusing on for the Fall/Holiday season?

What’s the newest, exciting trends??  In trend we will be showcasing black and gold, mixed metals, mixed media patterns and textures and matte black.

Which designers/runway fashion shows have been most influential for you in terms of planning your Fall/Holiday line?

Some of our favorite designers are Prada, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Kate Spade and Rachel Zoe.  We draw inspirations from major fashion houses and add our own flair to it.

Are there any celebrities, bloggers, movies, TV, music festivals, etc., that are driving trends for you lately?

Some of our favorite bloggers are Nicole Warne, Negin Mirsalehi and Courtney Kerr.  We also use many fashion magazines and look to Hollywood to stay up-to-date with the latest trends.
