New York—Collaborations were a hot topic this week. American handbag maker Coach might feel as though it’s been hit by a polar vortex. In its chilling second quarter earnings report this week, Coach’s profit fell as sales in North America faltered, hit by the growing market share of rivals such as Michael Kors and Kate Spade.
Handbags also are in the forefront again thanks to the 8th Annual Independent Handbag Designer Awards. The awards, which will be revealed later this spring, are open for submissions, so act fast.
