Breaking Trends from NY Fashion Week: Optical Gray

New York—Although the spring/summer season is typically the warmest of the year, Pantone, the color authority, has mandated that next spring the “cooler, softer side of the color spectrum” will prevail.

Settlement in Paris

It’s one of the first bits of trend news to emerge from New York Fashion Week. (Be sure to check our Breaking Trends, such as Optical Gray, seen in the daily emails). And there will be plenty more direction to come.

There was some new direction in Paris this week as two major luxurygoods rivals settled their differences: LVMH and Hermes. Analysts called their settlement positive for both parties.

Positive was the name of the game at Neiman Marcus which has coveted a Manhattan location for years and finally confirmed it will have the anchor position in the new super shopping center planned for the Hudson Yards.
