met-gala-Not invited to tonight’s Met Gala, where the world’s largest and most fashionable stars will dress to the theme of Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology?

Fear not. You can now watch all the Red Carpet excitement with E! Entertainment’s first ever live coverage. The Live From the Red Carpet special will air on the E! Network at 7pm ET, but there has been no report of a live stream.

Prefer to stare at your computer or phone? Catch the live stream on the The New York Times Facebook page. Vogue.com will also cover the event online, and there’s always the Met’s Instagram and Twitter accounts, plus worldwide hashtags #MetGala and #Manusxmachina.

Wondering what the stars will wear? Check out our sneak peek of the exhibit from today’s press preview for an idea of the theme (the show opens to the public Thursday, May 6).

MANUS X MACHINA: SNEAK PEEK

Hand-made and machine-made needn’t oppose one another, in fact, they can work hand in hand. Such is the theme of Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, the latest new exhibition at the Met’s Anna Wintour Costume Institute, opening tomorrow.

Here, it’s machine-made sci-fi and Old World craftsmanship, all mixed together in the most surprising way–showing how ideas and techniques from each side of the spectrum needs the other. Prepare to be dazzled.
