Teva DIY StudsWould you like studs with your Tevas?

Sport/comfort brand Teva has hit the fashion scene running, growing in popularity among fashionistas as comfort flats continue to soar. To let women incorporate their love for customization, Teva®, a division of Deckers Brands, is kicking off a series of DIY events at select retailers across the country.

Participation is free with sandal purchase, as are all the crafting tools and materials, and a local design-and-style influencer will be on hand to offer guidance and inspiration.

“The Teva brand is all about accessibility, versatility and most importantly, personalization. We want our fans to see our sandals as a canvas for them to express their own original style, and that’s why we created these experiences to encourage customization and creativity,” explains the brand’s Director of Marketing Erika Brakken. “We pull a lot of inspiration from how our consumers choose to rock their Teva sandals. We love it!”

Customers will have the chance to purchase the latest spring 2015 styles at the DIY events including the Original collection and the new Flatform. Both Market Street Shoes and Shoe Biz will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from the DIY sandals to non-profit organizations in their local communities.

Participants are encouraged to share a photo of their Teva-inspired style by tagging #TevaDIY and @Teva for a chance to be featured on the brand’s social media platforms.
