Tapestry, Inc., has tapped Anna Bakst to Chief Executive Officer and Brand President of Kate Spade, effective March 26, 2018. Bakst was previously Michael Kors Group President of Accessories and Footwear.
In her Kate Spade role, Ms. Bakst will be responsible for all global aspects of the brand and will report to Tapestry CEO Victor Luis, who has been leading the brand in an interim capacity since Craig Leavitt’s departure.

Baskt has over 25 years experience managing and cultivating businesses for global fashion houses, most recently Michael Kors Group President of Accessories and Footwear. Prior, she was President of Accessories and Footwear at Donna Karan International. She holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. She is also on the Board of Directors of Modern Meadow. She is also an Associate Professor at Pratt Institute’s Design Management program.
