True to its brand credo, Desigual’s show for Spring/Summer 2017 had a myriad of prints and patterns, as seen in denim separates with quirky patches, tie-dye shirts and colorful dresses in bright shades. The accessories are mostly statement pieces, such as neon tassel earrings, chunky sandals, a lineup of roomy handbags, skinny scarves, printed belts and embellished hats.
Nicholas K’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2017 collection had, like its predecessors, a nomadic feel to it. For this, its designers, the brother-and-sister duo Nicholas and Christopher Kunz, used light and breathable fabrics made with sustainable alpaca-linen. Loose and airy separates in neutrals were accessorized with chunky jewelry, strappy sandals, belt bags and a number of head-turning sun visors and floppy wide-brim hats.
Tomas Maier’s collection for Spring/Summer 2017 had a relaxed take on collegiate, sporty dressing. Separates and dresses have cute patches sparsely scattered throughout them, and there was barely any hint of jewelry in his ensembles. What Maier did though is to produce a wide variety of bags for this collection, ranging from metallic bucket bags with shoulder straps to roomy leather purses. And let’s not forget the furry slides and the classic dark sunglasses.
