Spring 15 Breaking Trends: Asian Influence

In Breaking Trends, What's New by Lauren Parker

Asian Influence
New York Fashion Week–Many designers took a trip (virtual or otherwise) to the Far East for inspiration this season, and not just those Asian designers already known for working their heritage into their looks. Obi sash belts were key, as were wrap tops and kimono-like sleeves. Thick platforms echoed prints from the apparel in some cases (for more amazing Asian platform shoes, don’t miss Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe at the Brooklyn Museum).
