Sperry Top-Sider’s One Hand watch urgers wearers to take their time

New York–“Slow down, you move too fast/you got to make the morning last…”

Simon and Garfunkel were definitely onto something, and we think this one-handed watch by Sperry Top-Sider will have the wearer “feelin’ groovy” in no time.

After all, when you’re out enjoying the beach, do you really need to know—to the minute—what time to pack it up and go home? Take it easy… an approximation within 10 minutes should do just fine!

The Sperry Top-Sider’s One-Hand watch is actually part of a new  timepiece launch, licensed to Geneva Watch Group and rolling out Spring 2013. The vibe, however, captures the brand’s Americana and “preppy boat shoe” image, with classic detailing and touches of “dashboard gauge-tech of vintage motor boats.”

“Sperry Top-Sider is not only an iconic brand, it’s a way of life,” says Craig Reingold, president of the Sperry Top-Sider brand. “We have formed strong connections with our consumers and are receiving hundreds of requests for Sperry products beyond footwear. We are excited to work with Geneva to bring forward this inaugural watch line next Spring with an assortment of watches that truly embody the Sperry design aesthetic. Sperry fans should stay tuned as there are more Sperry accessories forthcoming early next year.”

Retails range from $95 to $250.

Sperry Top-Sider is the latest brand for Geneva Watch Group, A Binda Company, which also licenses fashion and lifestyle brands such as BCBGMaxAzria, Kenneth Cole New York, Kenneth Cole Reaction, Moschino, Tommy Bahama, Speedo, Ted Baker London and Zoo York. It also manufactures proprietary brands Freestyle, Gametime and BREIL MILANO.
