These days, designer collaborations just continue to be stronger and grow increasingly popular. The latest to pop up? Rebecca Minkoff and Minnetonka, all set for June’s music festivals around the world. Slated for a May 31 market release, the collaboration features boots, booties and moccasins that have rock-and-roll details like fringe and metallic studs.
“Minnetonka has been a favorite brand of mine for a while—its moccasins are a staple of American style and are synonymous with concert-going globetrotters,” says Minkoff. “We want to offer our shared customer—the millennial, music festival attending woman—the ultimate shoe for festival season.”
David Miller, CEO of Minnetonka, agrees with Minkoff. “Both our brands have a similar aesthetic so the collaboration made for a natural fit when it came to designing a collection together,” he says.
The shoes are going to be sold in Rebecca Minkoff’s shops and in the department stores Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom. They will also be available for online purchase in both the websites of Rebecca Minkoff and Minnetonka.
Retail: $98 to $245
