Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2017 collection was a perfect mish-mosh of fantasies: retro-vintage mixed with a 70’s nightclub feel and a touch of urban street-wear influence. Mythological and animal motifs, like lions, serpents and dragons, adorned chokers, handbags and apparel. Accessories were elaborate and stylish, as evidenced in bright color satin boots complete with intricate beaded designs and front toe bows. Sunglasses and opticals were embellished with glitter and pavé stones lining the top brow bars and temples. Turbans and headscarves added to the retro and glam appeal, while oversize totes and handbags seem to be moving forward for Pre-Fall ’17.
Versace’s Pre-Fall 2017 line up was energized with a sporty vibe, in which Donatella Versace has translated into a luxurious way. The fierce collection was complimented with enhanced techniques and custom-made fabrics on accessories. Handbags, mini backpacks and flatbed lace-up combat boots all combined for a strong performance appeal, with contrasting trim, zippers and eyelet lacing. Brushed hardware, chains and metal statement earrings kept the collection looking youthful and modern.
