BALENCIAGA

Balenciaga is always one to watch for footwear, accessories and handbag trends. Yesterday’s show definitely delivered, as models walked the runway carrying an array of innovative totes. “Fanny packs” were worn cross-body, hard plastic containers were a modern spin on vintage suitcases and top-handle handbags wore flowy skirts or statement leather fringe. Footwear was equally as expansive, featuring the ever-popular sock boots along with spiked-out stilettos and wild platform Crocs. You heard that right. Next Spring, fanny packs and Crocs will be the It items.

VALENTINO

It sure felt like Valentine’s at Valentino, with looks ranging in hue from pink to red and purple. The feminine apparel was paired with some innovative accessories, like cross-body belt bags and clutches with wrist straps. Overall, silhouettes were light and minimal, so get ready to clear out next year.

CÉLINE

Chic tailoring was paired with whimsical accessories at Céline, like tiny beaded clutches and large plastic bags holding only a wallet. Chunky chain jewelry added some weight to airy layers.
