New York—Looking for tomorrow’s talent? Look no further than Parsons The New School for Design, which presented its student fashion show on Tuesday at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers.

The impressive show was staged at noon and again during the evening Fashion Benefit, which raised $1.4 million for scholarships and programs at Parsons.

Now in its 64th year, the event also honored Parsons Board Chair, entrepreneur and philanthropist Sheila C. Johnson, and Parsons alumna and board member Donna Karan.

As always, a highlight of the Fashion Benefit was the runway show of select collections by graduating students. Other creations were displayed before the show in a static exhibition. The winning designers: were Women’s Wear Designer of the Year Jin Kay, 25, from Seoul, South Korea; Menswear Designer of the Year Christy Jeehyun Lee, 25, from San Francisco; and Children’s Wear Designer of the Year Giuliana Raggiani, 22, from Boston.

The runway show featured lots of ideas, included mixes of transparent and opaque, hard and soft and lots of layering and proportion play. Accessories were created by the designers themselves and were equally impressive. A sampling:
