Paris Show Offers Contest for Leather, Fur Innovators

Paris—A Paris-based “tailor-made design area” at a leather and fur trade show is looking for a few good designers—basically 10 who could win a space at the February 2014 exhibition.

Called Bespoke, the area features companies/designers who offer new technologies or services for leather and fur in ready-to-wear, accessories and interior design at the Cuir A Paris show, scheduled for Feb. 18 to 20, 2014 at Paris Nord.

Who’s being invited to enter? “You are a designer, an artisan, or a student at a fashion or design school. You are specialized in working with leather, you have specialist leather know-how. You would like to share an innovative procedure or a patented leather technique…”

Companies/designers with the following expertise and applications are invited to apply:

●Leathergoods maker, shoe maker, glove maker, milliner

●Leather upholstering, sheathing, Art gilding

●Leather painting, screen-printing, digital printing

●Leather and fur finishing (weaving, pleating, embossing, embroidery)
