NYFW SS18 Breaking Trends: See by Chloe, Mansur Gavriel

See by Chloe

When it came to accessories, See by Chloe created something entirely different. With a nod to ’70s craft, long ropes of macrame were looped through a ring for a modern twist. But instead of natural rope macrame, these were colored like nautical or bungee cord. The saddlebags also had a ’70s twist, but they were done with shorter shoulder straps instead of cross body.

Mansur Gavriel

Handbag “It” darling Mansur Gavriel rolled out its first ready-to-wear collection, having already added footwear to its popular handbag line. As expected, silhouettes were minimal and clean, focusing on color, quality and shape. In accessories, the company’s signature bucket took a back seat to newer shapes like round and square with scallops, while domed wool felt hats topped it all off.
