Michael Kors’ spring 2017 collection had the same retro and tailored appeal that drives his apparel business. The print-heavy collection mixed tiny ditsy floral prints with stripes and menswear-inspired checks and plaids. Accessories were strong and modern with high-fitting belts styled over tailored blazers, as well spring’s new “It” bag, the high-fitting, structured, cross body.
Coach 1941’s spring 2017 collection was a youthful mash-up of classic Americana and heavy rock and roll. Fringed leather and tassels seemed to adorn everything, as seen on skirts and jackets, studded mini handbags and the statement creeper boots. The edgy collection was accented by layering the neckline with multiple necklaces and accessories, like thin leather chokers and printed neckerchiefs embellished with delicate metal fringe chains.
DNKY’s spring 2017 collection showcased a unique blend of athleisure and futurism, mixed with a heavy menswear influence. Sporting plenty of street-cred attitude, models were dressed in active wear separates complete with pinstripes, sheer mesh materials and oversized tailoring. Accessories accented the looks with large belt bags, circular tinted lenses and thigh high athletic inspired sport sock.
Lela Rose’s spring 2017 collection was set at Café Altro Paradiso in Soho, NY, the perfect backdrop for her brightly colored and feminine collection. The playful looks showed full silhouettes, pleated dresses, delicate pastel lace designs and oversized floral prints for ladies who lunch. Accessories complemented the looks with cat-eye frames that were embellished with tiny daisy accents and topknot head wraps and ties.
