In Breaking Trends, What's New by Lauren Parker

Some new additions to our daily roundup of Fall 2015 Fashion Week, with a focus on accessories:

Kate Spade

Kate Spade Fall 2015

Plaids and fox motifs took center stage at Kate Spade, with a palette of red, black and neutrals. From furry hats with fox ears to a fox stole and fox motifs on handbags, the house’s signature whimsy showed through loud and clear.

Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang Fall 2015

Alexander Wang’s bad girl vibe featured apparel and accessories covered in ball bearings. This new stud treatment added a new look to bags, shoes, belts and clothing…even a chain mail dress.

Carolina Herrera

Fur got the lux treatment but with an artful touch. On scarves, fur in straight rows or chevron zig-zags looked gallery ready wtih waved colorblocking. Pops of color spiced up the neutral palette.

Nicole Miller

Nicole Miller Fall 2015

Like the magical lights shining in the forest in a dark, moody fairy tale, Nicole Miller’s show was moody and dark but with lots of glistening sparkle. Long silk chiffon¬†scarves, tied and thrown artfully over one shoulder are a key silhouette to watch.
