The Nolcha Media Lounge, held during New York Fashion Week at the Bryant Park Hotel Terrace Loft, previewed Spring/Summer 2017 collections from 12 independent accessories brands ranging from scarves to jewelry and handbags to shoes, including several ethical / locally-produced lines, as well as designers from the UK, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Guatemala.
Designers included Michelle Pajak-Reynolds (jewelry), EL VOYAGE (scarves) and Taylord Blu (men’s accessories), and debuting brands Riley Versa (bags), DELA EVA (bags), Marshelly’s (jewelry), James Carltons (footwear) and Oysby (footwear/bags). The East Africa Trade and Investment Hub showcased APRELLEDUANY (luxury bags), I am I (jewelry), Mafi (footwear), and Sammy Handmade (scarves).

I AM I
I am I features jewelry made in Kenya using natural stones with lots of personality. Designer Ami Doshi Shah’s signature style is minimal, geometrical forms contrasted with texture, color and unexpected detailing. www.amidoshisha.com
