Dallas—Nolan Glove Co., the 94-year-old family run business specializing in children’s headwear and cold weather accessories, has been purchased by Bioworld Merchandising Inc., an international design and distribution company for licensed and private label apparel, headwear, and accessories. Terms of the acquisition were undisclosed.

As a newly created division, Nolan Originals will continue to work with brands, such Carters, Osh Kosh, and Laundry by Shelli Segal, as well as, Nolan Glove’s private label brands. The goal is to build upon Nolan’s heritage and reputation and to create a broader platform for children’s accessories.

Raj Malik, Bioworld’s president/ceo/founder, said, “The Nolan Team, under Mike Nolan’s guidance, brings superior expertise in headwear and cold weather accessories which will continue to benefit our brand partners and customers alike. We will capitalize upon their expertise in the accessory field and bring this offering to all of the Bioworld customers, expanding distribution worldwide.”

Noting that Nolan’s executives, sales and staff will remain in place, Mike Nolan, president Of Nolan Glove, added: “We look forward to joining forces with Bioworld while maintaining our high standards of product development and customer service, as we lay the foundation of maximizing growth opportunities for all of our business partners.”

Nolan will also continue to operate out of its Manhattan offices at 22 W. 38th Street, 6th floor.
