Little Rooms

Hoops have exploded in popularity in recent seasons, but the fashion set’s favorite renditions are more hipster chic than the basic circles of yesteryear. While some holdouts prefer silver, the overwhelming choice is gold, adorned with unique stones and geometric accents. Check out some of our favorite renditions on this popular classic.

Front-facing hoops that sit on the front of the lobe in a circle instead of sideways are a hot trend. These Saros Hoops ($60) by Jenny Bird feature that trend with a contrasting tone ball at the bottom.

Don’t get all technical on us, we think open ovals still count as hoops. The not-quite circular styles are rising in popularity, like this pearl-adorned pair by Paige Novick ($2605 retail). The unique front-back post construction actually lets the stones come together in the front.

The Styled Collection

The Styled Collection Orbit Earjackets

Half post, half hoop hybrids add geometric interest and minimal-chic style. The Orbit Earjackets, crafted from 18K plated gold, are a steal at $35 from The Styled Collection.

UFO Hoops

Strikethrough designs like the UFO Hoops from Little Rooms ($165 retail for gold vermeil and pearls) allows designers to incorporate unique stones into the classic metal silhouette.

Ippolita Stardust Hoop in 18K Gold with Diamonds

Are diamonds really a girl’s best friend? When encrusted in extra-large hoops, like this pair from Ippolita ($6,500 retail), we think so.

Sterling Forever

Whoever said hoops had to be round? These hexagonal earrings from Sterling Forever ($66 retail) are decorated with cubic zirconia stones for a high-fashion statement.
