Nautica Apparel, Inc., a subsidiary of VF Sportswear Inc., a division of VF Corporation, has signed a licensing agreement with Mundi Westport Group for the licensed manufacture and distribution of Nautica Women’s handbags, small leather goods, tech and travel accessories.

In keeping with Nautica’s water-loving look, the first collection will incorporate a bright color palette, along with color blocking, graphic florals and seascape patterns on both handbags and wallets.

“Adding a powerful, universally recognized brand such as Nautica to our portfolio fits perfectly with our strategy of being a premier resource for women’s and men’s accessories,” added J. Kevin Ross, president of MWG. “With its own, very specific DNA – Nautica presents us with a unique aesthetic allowing us the platform to capture that casual look that we see so prevalent with what today’s consumer desires.”

Westport will distribute product beginning summer 2017, throughout the United States and Canada. The new collection will also feature Nautica Men’s backpacks and casual bags, and will be carried in major department stores and specialty retailers.
