Mulberry Touts: Be Kate for a Day

London—For those that didn’t make the cut for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding this Friday, Mulberry is offering a chance to be “Kate for a day.”

Through its Facebook and blog pages, the British luxury leathergoods brand announced it is giving out what it calls “dress up” versions of Middleton’s engagement ring, the blue sapphire and diamond ring that once belonged to Princess Diana.

“Will you be celebrating the British royal wedding on Friday? Be ‘Kate for a day’ with Mulberry’s dress-up version of the beautiful ring! Pick up yours at Mulberry stores throughout this week, and enjoy your majestic Mulberry accessory!”

Accompanying the notice is a photo of Mulberry employees donning the cartoon-like cardboard replicas of the future princess’ ring.

“The girls in the Mulberry offices love theirs…if you get a Mulberry ‘Kate’ ring of your own then post a picture for us to see! Love, Mulberry.”

Almost as soon as the notice went live, Facebook fans were asking where they could find them.

Is your Sydney store stocking them? They’re simply divine! ♥” wrote one Mulberry fan.
