TOKYO–Michael Kors will open its first 1,400-square-feet boutique on Tokyo’s upscale Omotesando Avenue this September partnering with local Toshiaki Tashiro. Carrying Michael Kors’ fragrances and accessories, including handbags, shoes, eyewear and watches in his signature lifestyle concept store, the Omotesando shop will be followed by shop-in-shops in department stores in February 2011.

Tashiro is a natural choice said Kors as he has a strong history and proven success with fashion brands in Japan, working with Gucci and consulting for Tom Ford, Tod’s, Ermenegildo Zegna and Valentino.
