Michael C. Fina, the 81-year-old jewelry store known for both its bridal registry and its Park Avenue address, will be closing its store on April 16.

After that date, the retailer will operate exclusively on the web.

“Our sales have quickly moved from our physical store to our website, and our customers are regularly telling us they prefer to shop online,” said president Steven Fina, who is grandson of the founder. At present, he estimates that 85 percent of sales come from the web.

The retailer will also be shifting its fulfillment services to Amazon and operating its bridal registry in conjunction with Zola.com.

Fina has also announced plans to relaunch the website in Fall of 2016.
