New York—Margo Manhattan is a longtime designer and retail legend among the luxury stores that line Madison Avenue. Now the “bold, dynamic and sexy” Margo is taking her elegant rock n roll jewelry designs to EVINE Live starting Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 1 pm and 4 pm EST.
Previously her jewelry was only available at her Madison Avenue boutique where she has garnered a celebrity following from Selena Gomez to Beyoncé (who cleared out Margo’s Upper East Side boutique, to style music videos for her album, ‘Beyoncé’).
“I was born during intermission,” the designer, who is the daughter of New York City Prima Ballerina Karin Von Aroldingen and god-daughter of world-renowned Ballet Master George Balanchine, is fond of saying.
She fell in love with precious metals and stones at a young age, creating jewelry using the Byzantine method. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, she honed her knowledge of jewelry design in Paris at the Studio Bercot. Immersing herself in the fashion industry, she landed jobs with Karl Lagerfeld, Patrick Kelly, and noted fashion photographer Arthur Elgort. Her career was formally launched, when famed fashion
photographer Patrick Demarchelier discovered her jewelry during a photoshoot – and Paris Vogue then featured her work prominently in its pages.
Now the blonde bombshell of sterling silver jewelry is joining EVINE’s celebrity and designer lines which include: Marc Bower Unlimited, NV by Nick Verreos, Countess Lusann de Lessep’s apparel collection and celebrity chef Todd English.
