Valentino SpA has signed on Marchon for its global eyewear license, effective January 1, 2012. The license was previously held by Safilo.

The Valentino eyewear line will draw inspiration from the luxury designer brand, from its haute couture and ready to wear to accessories, including handbags, shoes, small leathergoods, belts, fragrances and watches.

The Valentino Eyewear collection will embody the timeless elegance of the Valentino brand, taking inspiration from their seasonal RTW collection, accessories and iconic pieces that showcase the flawless use of materials, textures, colors and prints.

Marchon has a host of designer names, both luxury and more accessible brands including: Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein, Coach, Diane von Furstenberg, Emilio Pucci, Fendi, Jil Sander, Karl Lagerfeld, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Nautica, Nike, Salvatore Ferragamo and Sean John.
Micha Sidbenhandl Appointed Vice President, Global House Brands
In other news from Marchon this week, Micha Siebenhandl has been appointed vice president, global house brands, reporting directly to Mark Ginsberg, senior vice president, global marketing with a dotted line to Gottardi.
“Micha is going to be a great addition to the New York management team. He will bring a new point of view, adding a critical international component, to the House Brand Division. We are excited that he has accepted this new challenge,” said Gottardi.
Siebenhandl has been with Marchon since 1997, first as a sales agent for Marchon Germany and then in 2002, he became the sales director for Germany. Since then he has held several senior positions including, commercial director for Germany and Austria, country manager for Germany and Austria, and regional business director, UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Spain.
