Fashion is for the people—at least that’s what Macy’s has for its fans everywhere. Just recently, the retailer announced that it will be staging a big New York Fashion Week (NYFW) fashion show on September 7 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, allowing consumers to buy tickets for it as early as August 1 for the benefit of the Council of Fashion Designers of America Foundation, Inc. and the Ronald McDonald House in New York.
According to Macy’s, the show is expected to be high-octane in many aspects, with partners such as Lancôme and Samsung joining in on the fun. Entertainment and fashion will intertwine with performances from Ariana Grande and Flo Rida and runway presentations from brands such as Calvin Klein, I.N.C. International Concepts, Rachel Rachel Roy, Tallia, Tommy Hilfiger and William Rast. The event will also see the launch of Samsung’s new smartwatches and the global debut of Betsey Johnson’s latest collection that’s inspired by the upcoming film TROLLS.
“Macy’s Presents Fashion’s Front Row will once again ignite the catwalk, giving fans the opportunity to experience Fashion Week like never before. With a high-fashion runway presentation of the fall season’s most coveted designs and marvelous music and dance performances, the elusive front row will be open for all to enjoy,” said Joseph Feczko, executive producer of Macy’s Presents Fashion’s Front Row.
Tickets for the fashion show will be priced at $55 and $80, with a pre-sale for American Express cardholders on August 1. They can also be purchased at Ticketmaster or in person at the Madison Square Garden Box Office. Macy’s also added that the show will serve as a precedent for special in-store events and an upcoming television special.
