Mulberry’s Spring/Summer 2017 consisted of a variety of looks from pajama printed separates, sculptural pinstripe designs, and fluid eveningwear silhouettes, which ended the show. Creative Director, Johnny Coca showcased his accessories expertise with modern silver brooches, massive leather handbags and statement worthy single and mismatch earring combinations.
Mary Katrantzou’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection showcased exactly what she is, a brilliant print designer. Inspired by her Greek roots, she took ancient Greek patterns (typically seen on vases and plates) and translated them onto her beautifully crafted designs. Accessories were modern with goddess like headbands and shinny gold single and mismatched statement earrings.
Christopher Kane’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection was a celebration of his 10-year anniversary in fashion. Drawing inspiration from his childhood and the post-war generation of Great Britain. With a concept of using anything and everything as decoration and detailing, clothes and accessories were complete with impeccable craftsmanship. Crocs were embellished with DIY stick-on jewels, mini retro top handle bags and vintage, deconstructed casqued inspired hats were just a few of the stand-out accessories.
