New York–Jewelry designer to the stars, Pascal Mouawad, has signed a licensing agreement with the Camuto Group, the master licensee for the Jessica Simpson Collection, to “design, develop, produce and distribute a line of fashion watches for the brand.”
With 20 apparel and accessories license under her name, the watch license marks Jessica Simpson’s 21st product category. “Jessica is a businesswoman with great vision and the Camuto Group has done a phenomenal job in building the brand across multiple categories,” says Mouawad. “With Jessica’s good taste, flair for fashionable trends and iconic image, it was a natural fit for us to collaborate on a collection of fashion watches.”

Camuto Group president, Bob Galvin adds, “Fashion watches are an important accessory product extension and we are pleased to have a quality partner like Pascal Mouawad.”
The introductory collection features 40 watch designs, from classic leather and metal styles to fashion forward jewelry-inspired looks. The collection will launch Spring 2011 at upper tier department stores, specialty stores and select online stores, in addition to the star’s website Jessicasimpsoncollection.com. Retails will range from $65 to $100.
Pascal Mouawad is the fourrth generation of the famed Swiss Mouawad jewelry family, known for its gemstones and fine jewelry. He’s since made a name for himself among the Hollywood elite, both adorning them with jewelry and creating collaborations and licenses. Pascal’s collaborations include a jewelry line with Nicole Richie under the House of Harlow 1960 label, Erin Wasson under the LowLuv label and Belle Noel by Kim Kardashian.
Jones Group Licenses Sportswear
In other news in Jessica Simpson’s expanding fashion empire, The Jones Group announced today that it also will be licensing Jessica Simpson Sportswear. The Jones Group currently licenses Jessica Simpson Jeanswear, and will now also design, develop, produce and distribute sportswear. Jessica Simpson Sportswear will be available in over 650 stores in both specialty and department distribution in the US and Canada beginning fall 2011, and sold adjacent to Jessica Simpson Jeanswear where available.
The Camuto Group is the owner of the Vince Camuto and Arturo Chiang brands and is the master licensee for the Jessica Simpson Collection. The company holds the footwear license for BCBGeneration, BCBG Max Azria, Lucky Brand and kensiegirl, and its portfolio also includes the design and sourcing of footwear for Tory Burch as well as a partnership with the apparel lifestyle brand Sanctuary.
