Item of the Day: Pico Design

In Item of the Day, What's New by Lauren Parker

Pico DesignAfter months of Instagram envy regarding all those Hampton beach house photos, vacation sailing snaps and glowing sunsets, we’re just not ready to let go of summer just yet. So consider this nautical rope-looking necklace from Pico Design your Summer Last Call!

Comprised of heavy natural or navy rope wrapped around a brass bar, the necklace comes in two versions–a horizontal and a vertical–with varied degrees of wrapping.

“I’m an industrial designer who loves both the large scale of architecture and the small scale of jewelry,” says Andrea Panico,  the founder and Creative Director of Pico Design.

“My designs bring the two together in a collection of modern heirloom jewelry. Pico is short for the Italian word Piccolo, meaning little or small. Like Mies Van der Rohe, we believe that ‘God is in the Details,’ and that the little things are hugely important in design.”
