Mata Traders was born after three best friends landed in India for four months on their around-the-world adventure. Their love affair with India’s people, markets and colorful textiles inspired this design driven, fair trade brand that aims to help end global poverty and inspire ethical companies and consumers to change the fashion industry. Made by artisans in India and Nepal, Mata Trader’s colorful dresses, tops, skirts and jewelry are now sold in 50 states and 12 countries, and provide a stable source of income for families in some of the world’s poorest communities.
