Get your gruv on with in-a-grüv shoes.
Capturing the personalization and interchangeable trend, newly launched footwear line In-a-Grüv was created by schoolteacher Ada Durana who struck upon the idea after struggling to find the right sandals for her college graduation party. She imagined a sandal with a variety of colorful straps that could be swapped out to match various outfits, without having to purchase 10 different pairs of shoes.
She applied for a patent for an interchangeable sandal with grooves built into the sole (hence the company name) and in•a•grüv was born, offering an easy way to interchange the straps with no snaps, Velcro, ties or glue. This sandal that goes “from daytime to playtime” features a wide variety of styles and colors, from solids to animal prints to embellishments. Consumers just slip the elastic around the groove with the fashion portion facing up.
The vegan leather shoes retail for $69.95 to $79.50 with additional accessories for $19.99. Retailers can purchase the T-stand to display the add-ons as well.
in•a•grüv also donates a $1 for every shoe purchased to Soles 4 Souls (at Soles 4 Souls, $1=1 new pair of shoes for children and families in need worldwide). This tradition started in 2012 when the founder of the company began donating over a thousands pairs of shoes to the organization with her students.
