LoeweItem of the Day: Loewe

Although renowned for its artisan-made leathergoods, Loewe isn’t a brand one would normally associate with tall tales.

But maybe “Tales of Spain,” the brand’s youngest, most easy-going collection from the vision of Stuarts Vevers, the brand’s creative director.

Drawing on its leather-processing expertise, Loewe craftsmen has created what Vevers calls the perfect multi-print “without losing one iota of the charactertistic body and texture” of the leather. The motifs—Manton de Manila, Spanish Butterflies and Baroque—all were pulled from Loewe’s archives from the 1970s and ‘80s. To tout the Tales, Loewe even created a series of pop-up kiosks where, besides leathergoods, other Tales of Spain merchandise can be found.

The colorful creations deserve a one-word response: ¡Olé!
