Item of the Day

In Item of the Day, What's New by Nicole Philip-Kronenberg, Accessories Magazine

We’re taking a break from reporting on spring for a minute, it’s not because we don’t love the bright pops of neon or clashes of cheerful tropical prints, its just because we can’t get the holidays off of our mind. After all, our in-boxes are filled with holiday invites, eggnog seems to be taking over the dairy shelf at the market, and the sparkle of 5th Avenue is leaving bright flashing spots in our eyes for hours.

Speaking of sparkle, we have quite the dazzler for you today. Best part, this sparkle doesn’t require massive electricity bills or tangled wires, and thanks to designer extraordinaire Kara Ross, it’s something you can carry with you to light up any room you enter.

You might recognize this designer’s name as she recently appeared as a guest judge on our boob-tube obsession, “Project Accessory”—or maybe you’re just avid fans of her incredible jewelry and handbag designs, like us. Either way, we hope you appreciate this party of a clutch. Kudos to Kara for figuring out a tasteful way of turning a confetti glitter explosion into an uber-elegant design.  Now if only someone could commission her to transform the streets of Times Square after that confetti filled ball drop goes down…
