We’re all crying purple tears today as the news spread over the sudden and tragic death of musician Prince at the tender age of 57. A quick web search for jewelry to honor the fallen rocker turned up two items that caught our eye.
First, Black Heart Creatives‘ interpretation of the iconic ‘Prince’ during his Purple Rain era.
This Poptraits collection features pendants laser-cut on black, peach, purple and white perspex acrylic sheets, which are then hand-etched and inked. Retail: $55.16 in U.S. dollars (the company is British).
If wearing Prince’s face is too literal a way to honor the beloved star, however, why not try a necklace of cascading briolettes (Purple Rain, get it?) from jewelry designer Melissa Joy Manning? The iolite stone necklace retails for $825.
