Item of the Day: Renata and Jonathan

fullmoonGet ready for a double whammy: it’s Friday the 13th and the Full Moon, a rare pairing.

The last time it happened was October 13, 2000. The next time won’t be until August 13, 2049.

So, in other words, notice how peculiar your friends have been acting. Well, it will only get worse as the day goes on! While there’s absolutely no evidence that Friday the 13th is unlucky, or that the full moon changes human behavior, we don’t want to hedge any bets on it.

Maybe a solution is to pay tribute to the moon? Silversmiths Renata and Jonathan came up with their own lunar talisman, a double-sided, 1.5-inch diameter pendant featuring the Dark Side of the Moon in sterling silver. Renata does the soldering and Jonathan creates the artwork. In this case, a digital printing of the moon behind glass.

As to whether it’s man in the moon—or the woman in the moon—you’ll see, either way let’s hope they protect you from Friday the 13th’s ill will. (See you in 35 years).
