If the Spring runways are any indication, belt bags are going to be huge (well, little) in 2018. Up-and-coming designer Mariam Al-sibai is introducing a Mother of Pearl and Teak Wood belt bag for her debut collection of accessories and apparel that is sure to turn heads.

The bag is part of the label’s Heritage Collection, which collaborates with artisans and craftspeople to create heritage-specific pieces with a contemporary twist. The belt bag is handmade by Syrian craftsmen in the Middle East, Lebanon, as part of a traditional Damascene craft. The belt features a choice of red suede pouch insert or sai-silk insert (a type of silk produced in Damascus, Syria, from gold, silk and silver threads).
