The ubiquitous white sneaker became a fashion staple with the rise of the Stan Smith and Superstar last year. Since, countless iterations have hit the shelf, but KOIO’s Capri Bianco Canvas is perhaps the first that’s actually meant to be drawn on.
While there’s always the option to leave them crisp and clean, the brand encourages consumers to personalize the styles with their own flair. (The first 100 pairs came equipped with Sharpies when the shoe launched last month.) Regardless, the sleek silhouette features minimal seams, durable Margom outsoles and handcrafted Italian construction.
Founded in 2014, KOIO’s shoes are handmade in Italy in the coastal village of Civitanova. The launch is the first style from the brand to be made from fabric instead of leather.
The Capri Bianco retails for $148 on www.koio.co.
