There are just 56 days, 6 hours and 59 minutes until spring (at time of publication). Can you guess why we know that? It may, ok it definitely, has everything to do with the fact that we can’t wait to slip into these sandals from Frances Valentine.
With its jeweled heel, the Beatrix Sandals were inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s architectural feat, the omni-trangulated geodesic dome which is meant to be an elegant and intrinsically stable structure. The metallic leather and dainty ankle strap are perfectly feminine when worn either with a cocktail dress or cuffed boyfriend jeans, two things that will make these babies our open-toe go to next season.
Frances Valentine is the whimsical shoe and handbag collaboration from Kate and Andy Spade, along with Paola Venturi. The design team works out of New York, while its factories are based in Italy, Turkey, Spain, & Brazil. And while design elements include specially-developed hardware, leathers, and fabrics to Kate’s exacting specifications, the production is also meticulously made. The first prototype of each shoe design is made on a hand carved wooden last. Every pair of shoes takes two full days to complete.
The Beatrix Crystal Sandals retail for $495 at FrancesValentine.com.
