We don’t usually write about bikinis, but when we found this new swimwear designer who makes customized suits with modular straps that coordinate (and interchange) with bags and even hair accessories, we were hooked.
Eskini takes the strap concept from bags and applies it to chic high-waisted bottoms, then puts the same straps on slip-through clutches, headbands and even belts. The best part is that the modcandy™ straps are interchangeable using a patented modular design.
Despite the luxury prices, the company touts its versatility and fair trade, ethical creation. “One modswim™ bikini will have a life much longer than any other because the wearer can update it every season with a new piece of modcandy™ . Our swimwear, loungewear, shoes, bags and accessories will not be affordable to all but they do represent a value chain that is uncompromising in its promise to ethically negotiate prices and deliver the highest quality,” says Erin Spaulding, CEO & Chief Designer”
Straps include Native American-inspired beading as well as snakeskin prints.
