MoopItem of the Day: Moop

This last weekend was all about going bigger: the biggest turkey, the biggest doorbuster discount, the biggest shopping cart, the biggest Black Friday line…But Moop reminds us sometimes bigger isn’t better.

Case in point: The Paperback by Moop, a favorite tiny crossbody bag “just right for your keys, phone, mad money, ID, chapstick, mobile phone and business cards. Or remove the leather cross strap and simply use the waxed canvas bag as a wallet (pockets help with organizing).

In  honor of Makers Monday, a move to celebrate Made in USA merchandise, Moop notes that every Paperback bag and others are hand manufactured in its Pittsburgh studio. In fact, Moop sources its canvases from a 7th generation family owned and operated business. Its leathers are upcycled from a family-owned and operated upstate New York shoe maker which sources using the Horween tannery in Chicago.

Now reviving American-made bags and accessories—that’s a big story.
