New York—Since her roles in Hollywood blockbusters such as “Orphan” and “The Hunger Games,” 16-year-old actress Isabelle Fuhrman as been sought after off screen as well, appearing in W photographed by Sebastian Kim and in Glamour shot by Ellen Von Unwerth.

Now the ingénue will be appearing as Kipling North America’s back-to-school ambassador photographed by celebrity and fashion photographer Mike Rosenthal.

“Back to School is an important time of year for Kipling, and we were looking for someone who would represent our target customer, and inspire our target audience,” says Julie Dimperio, Kipling president. “Isabelle perfectly suits the fun and whimsical side of the brand, but also the practical and organized side. Like most students, Isabelle is juggling school and extra--curricular activities—hers just happens to be professional acting!”

Fuhrman was not only photographed wearing a backpack, she uses one: “If you have a school uniform, which I did, if you just throw on a printed backpack, it adds a lot of fun to it. [And now] when I go on set, I [still] have to bring my schoolbooks–and I bring them in my backpack!”

The back-to-school campaign began Monday in all Kipling retail stores, select Macy’s stores and specialty boutiques.
