Jonathan Adler already sells handbags, but his new collection with LF USA will span across many accessories classifications.

New York—Jonathan Adler, the American pottery and home furnishings designer, who has expanded into many areas of home, including opening his own namesake boutiques, soon will be designing accessories to wear, too.

Adler has recently inked a deal with LF USA, the U.S. division of Li & Fung, for a lifestyle collection consisting of handbags, scarves, belts, hats, small leathergoods which are scheduled to hit store shelves in Spring 2013. A jewelry collection is planned for Fall 2013 introduction.

“It’s amazing to go from being a production potter to expanding into a zillion different categories,” says Adler, who already sells bags, totes, umbrellas and other accessories on his mostly home furnishings website and store.

Adler, who’s known for his quirky patterns on textiles, says the accessories will reflect his aesthetic, one full of color and “a lot of my signature patterns, style, craft, and joy.”

The launch collection will contain about 300 styles ranging at retail from about $48 to $450.
