On Monday night, Bloomingdale’s rang in the holiday season with the annual unveiling of its festive window displays at its 59th Street flagship store in Manhattan.
The night kicked off with the cast of Dear Evan Hansen, a new Broadway musical, serenading guests with a mix of its original showtunes and classic holiday favorites.
The crowd then watched as eight windows created by a group of visual artists, who were commissioned to create one-of-a-kind chandeliers to represent the word “light,” were revealed.
Throughout the holiday season, all eight chandeliers will be up for auction, with all net proceeds being donated to the Child Mind Institute with opening bids starting at $2,000. The organization is a longtime partner of Bloomingdale’s and its mission is to transform the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders.
In addition to the chandelier auction, Bloomingdale’s will continue to support the Child Mind Institute for the seventh consecutive year with their annual collectible Little Brown Bear by Gund.
