New York—The Grill Room of the Four Season Restaurant is one of New York’s top power lunch spots. So what better location to hold a cocktail reception for one of retail’s top power players, Liz Rodbell, the incoming president of Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay Company?

Hosted by Richard Baker, chief executive, and Don Watros, president, of Hudson’s Bay Company, the Wednesday evening event drew a standing-room only crowd of the fashion industry’s most powerful executives.

Among the notables who stopped by to sip and schmooze were: Vince Camuto, Josie Natori, Steve Madden, Leonard Lauder, Vera Wang, Steven, Lynn and Dorothy Roberts, RJ Graziano, Sam and Libby Edelman, Efraim Grinberg, Adam Glassman of O, Max Azria, Margaret Hayes, Alexander and Eliza Bolen, Elie Tahari, Kathy Nedorostek, Cindi Leive, Stephanie Solomon, Roberta Myers, Deborah Needleman, Gina Sanders, Stefano Tonchi, Jill Granoff, Harold Koda, Trish McEvoy, Tom Murry, Michelle Stein, and Michael Clinton.

Rodbell was appointed executive vice president, chief merchant, of Hudson’s Bay Company in February 2012 where she led the merchant integration of the Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay banners and successfully drove a repositioning of the buying group. She joined Lord & Taylor in 1985 and has held management positions of increasing responsibility. Since 1992, she has served as a senior vice president, GMM over various merchandising assignments, culminating in EVP, Merchandising from 2008 to 2012, before assuming her current responsibilities.

Rodbell was one of the Accessories magazine’s 2013 Merchants Fall of Fame inductees.
