New York–G-Shock, the fashion watch brand known for its collaborations with artists, musicians, etc., opened its first flagship at 454 West Broadway in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood.

The two-level retail space pays tribute to the brand’s 30-year history, offering limited edition collaborative watches available only at the shop as well as current inline models.

In keeping with the brand’s streetwear influence, the décor features industrial design elements such as reclaimed barn wood floors and other industrial-grade materials. The second floor is used to showcase current collaborations and includes a rotating gallery and event space. Throughout, walls are adorned with art by world-renowned graphic artist Eric Haze, who also happens to be a G-Shock brand ambassador.

Guests celebrated G-Shock’s milestone at a cocktail party held in the store this week. Following the store launch, guests and event notables gathered at Little Charlie’s for an after party event. Among the opening night celebrants were Shigenori Itoh, ceo of Casio America; Tadashi Shibuya, Casio’s global marketing manager; Russell Simmons; Eric Haze; Lovebug Starski; Kevin “Saer” Leong; Dee & Ricky; Nigel Sylvester; Panama; 40oz Van; Manero; and Japancakes.
