Paris–To maintain its status as one of the top and most innovative leaders in fashion and luxury education, International Fashion Academy (IFA Paris) is launching a new MBA in Global Fashion Media starting in November, with five scholarships offered to aspiring students.
The first of its kind, the course offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to global media in the fashion sector. Students will gain hands-on experience with 30 academic weeks spent in Paris and 10 weeks in Shanghai.
Students from a variety of backgrounds such as fashion design, graphic design, product management, journalism and media studies are encouraged to apply. Throughout the one-year course duration, students will develop a firm foundation of research, expressive flair in journalism or visual styling, advanced communication proficiency, new media software skills and expertise in fashion media management strategies.
Dreaming of being a fashion editor or journalist? Successful MBA students will have gained the necessary skills and tools to pursue careers in print and electronic media, e-commerce, advertising, broadcasting, visual merchandising and other fashion media relation industries.
Applicants to the scholarship program will need to fulfill a series of evaluative assignments, which could possibly include composing a commentary editorial on IFA’s fashion show, creating a mini magazine prototype or generating an analytical report.
Enrollment is currently open and prospective student should have a bachelor’s degree in preferably marketing, communication, business administration or fashion design related fields. For those lacking a degree in these disciplines, substantial prior work experience in a relevant field is required.
