New York Fashion Week—To kick off the fall season and as part of the Lower East Side Gallery Night (where more than 40 gallery and boutique open on one night!) Strange Loop Gallery is having a “fashion extravaganza exhibition” on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Entitled “Dots, Stripes, Liquid Cyber and Other Plaiditudes,” the exhibition/party will present the works of seven independent fashion designers and three photographers. Scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m., the exhibition marks the launch of “Claire Fleury Atelier NYC,” a new designer label by Claire Fleury, stylist,  fashion designer and co-founder of Strange Loop.

Other fashion designers participating include Martin Keehn, BCalla, Diana Joy, Domonique Echeverria, Nvrmnd, and Deli Grocery. Photography on view is by Ryan Burke, Gerry Visco, and Alesia Exum.

Situated at 27 Orchard St., Strange Loop Gallery is an artist-run gallery for emerging and underrepresented artists and is known for exhibiting art and fashion in “alternative ways,” such as changing décor to reflect the mood of the exhibitions.
