Denver—Want to be a handbag designer? Enter the current design competition organized by Handbags.com and Big Buddha and see if you have what it takes.

To enter, just upload a short video via Handbags.com explaining why you should be chosen to create the next must-have Big Buddha bag for the “girl on the go.” You can create a video with a video camera, phone or webcam then upload it to Handbags.com here

Submissions are all posted on Handbags.com for visitors to view and then vote for. Applicants can also get more votes by sharing their videos via email, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest and rounding up support. The one with the popular vote will win.

Come to Big Buddha’s NY Studio

The winner will come to New York (where Big Buddha is based) to work side by side founder Jeremy Bassan and refine the design, select materials, etc. The finished design will be sold as an exclusive limited edition Big Buddha bag on Handbags.com.

The prize also includes two round-trip airline tickets and three nights’ hotel accommodations, as well as $500 in spending money.

“Big Buddha bags are made for girls on the move,” says Bassan. “What better place to find a truly enlightened handbag than in the mind of a real customer? I find inspiration everywhere, and look forward to the experience of looking at my work with fresh eyes.”

Handbags.com VP of Merchandizing, Nancy Behrendt, shares Bassan’s enthusiasm. “Our customers are style-conscious, but they also know what makes a great go-to bag. We’re excited not only to give somebody the chance to realize a dream, but also to enjoy the final product—the next hot Big Buddha bag.”
