Elizabeth and James has entered the watch world with its 200 SERIES collection. The brand’s first watch is a retro-futuristic-modern design that evokes the early space age and the nostalgia of digital timepieces.

The 10-piece collection features simple yet precise LED (Light Emitting Diode) digital technology first founded in the early 1970s. Elizabeth and James Owners and Designers, Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen, revisit this once revolutionary introduction to the watch world and its iconic red numerals in seven segment display.

“The 200 SERIES applies our minimalist design values to the world of technology”

Taking inspiration from seventies-era space imagery and its bold contrasting colors, the 200 SERIES watch combines modern materials with classic shapes: a mirrored mineral crystal face is cased in stainless steel and secured on a pliable rubber strap. Time, date or seconds are illuminated in red LED digital numbers when the button is pressed. And when the display is off? The watch serves as a quick mirror-on-the-go.

“The 200 SERIES captures our shared nostalgia for the watches from our youth but reimagined in a sleek design,”
–Mary-Kate Olsen.

Available in five mirrored metallic color ways including Silver, Gunmetal, Sky, Chartreuse and Royal, the 200 SERIES watch retails for $200. Each is packaged in a reusable cling wrap frame case, reminiscent of nineties-era music packaging.

The launch of the 200 SERIES coincides with the debut of the brand’s e-commerce site featuring the watches and Nirvana fragrance collection.
